AUDITORY TRAINING
Hearing Aids Can Help Long-term Cognitive Function
Hearing aids have been shown to support better brain health and may protect cognitive abilities. In addition to hearing aids and listening devices, our hearing solutions include Auditory Training for select patients.

Hearing Aids Amplify Sound, but the Brain Is Where You Process and Understand It
When sound reaches the brain, auditory processing abilities enable us to analyze, organize, and understand sounds. These abilities include sound localization, integration from both ears, timing sequences, discrimination of similar sounds, recognition of intonation, and understanding speech in noisy environments. When hearing loss is present, these abilities may be reduced or disrupted. However, they can be strengthened through auditory training.
Auditory training is a “workout” for the brain, clinically proven to improve cognition and working memory.
Helps patients stay engaged with their surroundings for years to come.
Uses listening exercises that retrain the brain to better filter, focus, and understand spoken language in real-world situations.
-
Speech-in-Noise processing: Learn to filter out background noise and focus on conversation.
-
Rapid speech comprehension: Keep up with fast talkers and complex discussions.
-
Auditory working memory: Hold and recall information during multi-step conversations.
-
Selective attention & focus: Improve concentration in multi-talker settings like meetings or restaurants.
